I had more of this prettiness in my life right now.
A black sand terrarium (genius!) and a beautifully minimal martini bar – complete with antique silver ice bowl and pitcher – would be just the thing for a midweek pick-me-up.
On second thought, it could also mean getting zero work done, having black sand all over the house and waking up with a monster hangover tomorrow…

i had a giant platter of cupcakes in front of me right now.
Personally, I’m not picky about the providence of my cupcakes – as long as they’re chocolate – but I have a feeling Adam would insist on Magnolia. And since he’s been indispensable in lowering (my press) Persimmon’s tantrum rate lately, I think I need to make some Magnolia cupcakes magically appear in Singapore.

upon my 200th post for something you can grant: If you have a moment, say a prayer for Japan today. If you’re in a position to help, do.
If you don’t already have a regular avenue for donations, or are a little overwhelmed by the amount of donation sites online, my advice would be to donate to a major aid organization, such as The Red Cross.
We were fortunate that nobody we know in Japan has been affected by this, but that of course doesn’t change the scope of death and destruction: it only means the burden of loss has fallen upon someone else. Please join me in keeping the tsunami victims and their families in your hearts.

I could pause the sun in the sky, and make more time in a day.
But since I can’t, I’m forced to plod along at my own pace and just pray you’ll be patient while waiting for my next big post. Because it’s going to be huge. Letterpress-mega-sale-huge.
We’re just in the final phase of working out the sale logistics now, which is such a relief because we’ve been sitting on this since before Christmas. For us, it’s been worth the wait: by holding out for better deals with our suppliers, we’re going to be able to offer our clients better deals now than we would have been able to last year. Which hopefully means it’ll be worth the wait for you too!
I had these shoes in my life.
Because I’ve been living in flip-flops and a chipping DIY pedicure, and it’s no fun.

I were here:
What a dreamy photo! I love the rich, buttery hues of the sand and stripy beach chairs. Perfection.

That I had a big, fat chocolate cupcake in front of me right now.
Lemon’s ok too. Actually, to be completely honest, I’d take whatever I could get – it’s been that kind of a week (you know, in case you couldn’t tell by all the radio silence!)

I had this much pink in my life (although I’m fairly certain my dog wouldn’t take kindly to being dyed). Aside from the huge stash of these hot pink beauties I received for Christmas, this could also be a good way to start.
I also wish I had more time to write a post-Christmas-post, but I’m off to the studio today so there’s no hope of that. No rest for the wicked!

I were in a fabulous dress, riding a bike down a blindingly pink, cherry blossom-lined street.
Too bad it isn’t spring and I don’t know how to ride a bike, because I’ve got the perfect outfit for it too. One out of three.
I could give up being a girly-girl and lop my hair off, because I’d really love to rock the Amelia Earhart look.
I’ve got the curls – now I just need the jacket and the nerve.
